The images are familiar. Scantily clad women holding power tools or sitting behind secretaries’ desks have become the norm in stock photo databases used in the media. But now Getty Images has joined, a non-profit founded by Facebook executive Sheryl Sandberg, to try to change the way women are portrayed.
