While the United States remains embroiled in the aftermath of President Donald Trump’s Muslim ban, Senate approvals, and “fake news” scandals, Flint, Michigan is still without clean water.

That’s why on January 21 Amariyanna “Mari” Copeny attended the Women’s March on Washington. Mari, a resident of Flint known as “Little Miss Flint,” was the youngest youth ambassador at the event. She got her title for speaking out about the problems with Michigan’s water systems. “There’s lead damage in the water because of the pipes,” Mari said of the crisis in her hometown. “The water gives us bad rashes.”
